Job Description

Are you interested in creating and producing innovative and engaging digital design and content that empowers playful learning for children? Then this is an outstanding opportunity to join the LEGO Education organization in the LEGO Group.

We do not offer relocation for this position.

Core Responsibilities

As a Digital Designer, you will be working in a hands-on executional role responsible for creating, managing, and producing visual design solutions for a variety of uses such as graphics, web, digital product, UI/UX, animation etc. You will be producing on-brand creative solutions that inspire, clearly communicates, and guides children through playful learning experiences in engaging and age-appropriate ways.

As part of the LEGO Education Design team consisting of highly skilled people across various functions such as Industrial Design, Digital Design, UX and Model Design, you will be routed in our Digital Design Team.

LEGO Education is a Helix organization, and your daily work will be conducted as part of a cross-functional team.

Through frequent user testing as well as sparring and input from the team, you will work swiftly and iteratively while playing your part in making sure we are developing highly relevant and engaging visual content.

Starting with the initial release of LEGO MINDSTORMS™ in 1998, we have been at the forefront of building experiences that merge digital and physical play. Today, building on this history with products like LEGO SPIKE Prime™, LEGO SPIKE Essential™, LEGO BOOST™, and LEGO HIDDEN SIDE™. Creating these new types of learning and play opportunities for children requires a highly innovative, collaborative, and iterative attitude and approach. Our team at LEGO® Education builds the technology that enables these types of creative, playful, and impactful learning experiences for children around the world. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Visual Content Creator to join our team that designs and develops our STEAM learning products.

Do you have what it takes?

The ideal candidate brings a relevant design background combined with 4+ years of experience creating and producing visual content and assets across digital (and preferably also physical) media. You show well-documented hands-on experience creating high quality digital designs across apps, web, ads etc. as well as you have a keen focus on user experience, usability, and interactivity. In addition, we expect that you:

  • Are a highly skilled graphical resource that can quickly sketch out concepts as well as produce final production ready visual material.

  • Are an expert user of industry-leading tools and software, including collaborating with developers.

  • Have solid experience working with user interfaces (UI) and Design Systems including asset creation.

  • Have experience working with animation, preferably both UI and product (2D,3D).

  • Are a strong planner that takes responsibility of producing and documenting the visual assets and content needed.

  • Have excellent partner and stakeholder management skills ensuring sparring and smooth collaboration with relevant internal colleagues as well as teams across the wider LEGO Group.

As a person, you show strong quality management skills ensuring consistency, accuracy, and relevance. You are a proactive and pragmatic doer that leads by example and are not afraid of hands-on execution of the work needed. With your positive mentality you always keep your eye on the ball and on the end goal. Finally, we hope you can relate to the below:

  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills. A strong storyteller that master’s the visualization tools necessary to tell an engaging story when presenting work.

  • Proficient in spoken and written English

The ideal candidate will have a passion and interest for learning and children’s education (and is eager to learn). Experience working within the learning space is a plus.
