Job Summary

The Manager BSS/OSS Operations will oversee and be responsible for all daily activities as well as the overall health and operation of all business-critical systems. The Manager will provide oversight and evaluation of the day-to-day performance of Sr/Jr Administrators and all managed service staff to ensure compliance with company standards, policies, and procedures. This candidate will also be responsible for ensuring quality deliverables, on time and within budget. This results-oriented, collaborative leader will be expected to ensure consistent successful outcomes by building a successful, high-performing team that is well-integrated into the culture of the company.

Responsibilities
  • Own delivery of medium to large managed services program (<150 FTE) and ensure they are delivering on their commitments.
  • Meet with managed services staff daily to understand key issues with how they operate today and identify opportunities for improvement in their operations and technology landscape.
  • Understand and articulate customer needs, leverage internal knowledge and expertise, and prioritize requests to ensure we can deliver exceptional service to our customers.
  • Lead from front in solving problems being faced by team and exhibit technical, analytical, and logical thinking.
  • Anticipate bottlenecks, manage risk and escalations, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
  • Minimum ten years experience in Information Technology
  • Minimum five years experience in BSS/OSS Support
  • Proven ability to contribute as part of a diverse cross-functional team across multiple time zones and high-pressure situations with and without formal management authority.
  • Providing ongoing support for the OSS/BSS solution and ensuring that any issues or problems are addressed in a timely manner. This team operates 24/7/365
  • Continuously reviewing and improving the OSS/BSS solution to ensure that it remains fit for purpose and meets the changing needs of the business.
  • Self-motivated, ability to multitask, presentation and planning skills, reliable to deliver on time, quick-thinker, able to work in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Experience with ITIL processes, Ticketing systems to prepare reports (ServiceNow, Helix, Tableau).
  • Understanding of systems (Unix, Solaris, Windows, AIX, Oracle RAC, GCP)
  • Proficient with JavaScript, SQL, Python & Shell Scripting, Restful/Open API, Apache Tomcat, Tibco, GCP

This position is identified as being performed in/or reporting to company operations in New York State. Salary ranges are supplied in compliance with New York State law. Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $123,379.00-$202,694.00/year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
