We have an exciting opening for a Cybersecurity Specialist SME to support an Intelligence Community (IC) organization in the fast-growing National Security Sector. This position is in Bethesda, MD. Candidates must currently possess a TS/SCI Polygraph security clearance.

Primary responsibilities and tasks may include some or all the following:

Respond to congressional inquiries on Cybersecurity issues; turning cybersecurity needs and capabilities into requirements and detailed technical solutions; developing and maintaining a list of Cybersecurity Architecture needs, dependencies, risks, and mitigation plans; analyzing cybersecurity best practices to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.

You will also be developing and publishing baseline security requirements for common enterprise services to ensure capabilities are in compliance with cybersecurity directives and policies; conducting critical path analysis, risk analysis, and task dependency analysis; developing security requirements and constraints to provide input to foundational technical documents, including program architectural artifacts, business cases, and concept of operations.

Additional duties may include:

  • Developing assessment criteria (metrics, measures, key performance indicators) for security requirements and implementation guidance; coordinating involvement in cybersecurity exercises; participating in external cybersecurity related governance, policy, and standards bodies; evaluating existing and emerging technologies and recommend strategies to support mission requirements.

  • Experience authoring policy and directives for federal government.

  • Experience with Zerto Trust Architecture (ZTA), documentation including strategy development, roadmaps, presentations, and other technical and non-technical documentation.

Basic Qualifications:

  • TS/SCI with Poly

  • Demonstrated experience with the management, operational, and technical aspects of IT Security in a complex enterprise environment. Additional experience in cyber risk management and assessments will be considered.

  • Experience implementing ZTA strategies and guiding principles.

  • Typically require BS degree and 12 – 15 years of prior relevant experience to operate within the scope contemplated by the level.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Able to self-motivate and work through complex problems.

  • Proactively do gap analysis and recommend directional changes for existing policies.

  • Ability to conduct independent research to find answers or upgrade knowledge in new technology areas to anticipate future policy issues.

  • Detail-oriented, ability to consistently provide high-quality products that are concise, thorough, and accurate.

  • Ability to adapt in response to shifts in customer priorities.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00
