Philips Lead Electrical System Designer in Best, Netherlands

In this role, you have the opportunity to develop, validate and verify electrical components, (sub-) systems and solutions of the Interventional Guided Therapy Systems (fixed interventional X-ray systems).

Your role:

  • You take care of the total system demonstrating that our systems (including components, units and 3rd party products) comply with the international standards and safety regulations.

  • You are a part of the Electronics Department of the Mechatronic Development Cluster within the IGT Systems R&D organization. The department consists of an open and multi-cultural team working on lifecycle management (LCM) and new product introductions (PDLM). You will work within an R&D multi-disciplinary team on applying research results and technology advancements.

You're the right fit if:

  • You hold a Master or PhD degree in an engineering field (i.e.: Electronics, Electrical or other related technical field)

  • You hold 5+ years’ experience in system and/or electronics development

  • You have 10+ years of relevant work experience

  • You have experience working as a technical leader

  • You are experienced with new product introduction and / or life cycle development

  • You have experience working in a regulated industry (preference for the medical device/healthcare industry)

  • You have experience with design of power delivery infrastructure (including safety and design for EMC)

  • You are experienced with Model Based System Engineering with larger electronic systems

  • You are driven by quality and continuous improvement

  • You are a team player able to work with cross functional teams

  • You have proven leadership and stakeholder management skills

  • You have excellent communication skills and are fluent in English (written and spoken).
