Job Overview
TE Connectivity’s Sensors Business Unit is a $750M global business with approximately 4,000 employees, and operations around the world. The Sensors Finance team provides accurate and timely business decision support to the GM, CFO, and business and functional leads through financial analysis and detailed reporting, as part of annual and strategic planning, internal forecasting, standard close activities and other company initiatives.
The Finance Manager will be an integral part of the Operations Finance team responsible for the costing process and supporting the PMO organization. The Finance Manger will own the yearly re-cost process along with monthly and quarterly product costing reporting. The Finance Manager will work closely with the entire Sensors BU finance team to drive alignment and understanding around costing and variances. The Finance Manager will work closely with the PMO organization to drive success through timely business decision support, financial analyses, capital budgeting assessments, scenario planning and balance sheet impact estimates (e.g. inventory, depreciation). The Finance Manager will be expected to work extensively with Sensors operational and commercial / product management finance and draw on corporate and other resources as required to support the project activities.
The position has geographical flexibility, with preference for location in either the US Central / Eastern or Western European time zone. The role will report to the Senior Manager – Controlling / Finance. Some travel (<25%) may be required.
Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and maintain cost models to evaluate manufacturing costs. Cost models will support monitoring and analyzing cost variances to investigate discrepancies between actual and standard cost structures.
• Analyze material, labor, and overhead costs to determine accurate product costing, assessing variations and recommending corrective actions.
• Assist sales and finance teams in setting competitive pricing by evaluating cost structures and market conditions. Work closely with manufacturing, procurement, and engineering teams to ensure alignment on cost strategies and continuous improvements projects.
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards, internal controls, and financial regulations related to costing and inventory valuation.
• As an embedded business partner, provide timely, relevant financial business decision support to the Director – PMO lead and broader PMO team. Business decision support includes financial analyses, predominantly around scenario planning, capital budgeting assessments, balance sheet impact estimates (e.g. modified cash flow, inventory, depreciation), M&A and restructuring
• Work within finance and cross-functionally to gather, validate and consolidate the source information as required to support the business decisions within PMO
• Provide financial reporting as required (monthly, quarterly, and annually) in support of TE financial reporting cadence. Key deliverables will include tracking profitability metrics (gross margin and operating margin), and cash and non-cash benefits and expenses on a periodic and cumulative basis
• Provide support for other ad/hoc requests (e.g. assistance with executive presentations and readouts, productivity reporting etc.)
• Develop, train, and mentor staff as applicable.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in plant controlling, costing, or cost accounting in a manufacturing environment. Experience of semiconductor manufacturing operations would be desirable.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, financial modeling, and manufacturing process.
• Demonstrated excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, for a senior executive audience. Able to tactfully highlight and defend positions in front of senior management.
• Strong analytical skills, able to break down complex problems and develop / suggest solutions
• Ability to develop talent, and effectively coach and motivate others
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, SAP, and Hyperion Planning along with familiarity with data analysis tools such as Tableau or Power BI, and think cell

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $132,200- $198,200 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
