Boeing Phantom Works (PW) Special Programs and Capabilities (SP&C) is seeking a Mid-Level Low Observable Engineering Manager for the Survivability Technology (ST) program in Berkeley, MO . This position is contingent upon award.

This individual will lead a multi-disciplined team of engineers, scientists, mathematicians, and data scientists in prototyping and maturing the next generation of stealth technologies. This critical technology base position ensures the transition of leading-edge technologies to next generation designs. This position is part of the Special Technology Integration (STI) capability which supports the larger enterprise with low observable (LO) modeling, design, and technology transition.

Primary responsibilities include leading first-line managers and direct reports, coordinating work scope and quality with Technology Thrust Leads (TTLs), and staffing as needed to support the LO technology base within PW and the larger Boeing Defense and Space (BDS) enterprise. The successful candidate will work closely with the ST Program Manager, Business Development (BD) team, and technology leaders to maintain roadmaps for technology development, gain support from internal customers, and win competitive Contracted Research and Development contracts that advance the state-of-the-art in LO design, manufacturing, and sustainment.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provides engineering oversight of technical approaches, products, and processes.

  • Prioritizes, champions, and coordinates internal funding.

  • Supports proposals, contracted efforts, and coordinates with multiple customers.

  • Provides staff for LO predictions and technology integration to support other business units.

  • Manages, develops, and motivates employees.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

  • 10+ years of experience in detailed low observable design, integration, fabrication, and test.

  • 5+ years of experience in Integrating Survivability Technology.

  • 5+ years of experience/knowledge of DoD Special Access Program processes, customers, and stakeholders.

  • 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams of more than 5 engineers on Aerospace development programs.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Advanced Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.

  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance.

  • LO Development Experience (design, modeling, testing, etc.).
