Oracle Software Developer 2 in BENGALURU, India

Job Description

The candidate must have hands on experience in C/C++ and Java, excellent analytical/problem-solving skills, knowledge of data-structures and object oriented design. He/She should be able to understand requirements and deliver with little guidance from architects and managers. He/She should be able to develop corresponding Unit tests and Automation. Candidate must have hands on experience with Cloud Native technologies. Additional skill set include DB and XML concepts, Agile methodology, CI/CD process

Desired Skills: Preferably from a telecom domain and product development background.

Debug, maintain and improve existing systems, with a focus especially for reducing operational burden and on performance.

Be a generalist, able to debug issues across a wide breadth of our stack.

Scale our systems by building tooling and automation. Work with partner teams outside our org and external to Oracle.

3+ years’ experience delivering and operating large scale, highly available distributed systems

History of working in large codebases in C/C++, Java and experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, etc.

Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.

Systematic problem-solving approach, strong communication skills, a sense of ownership and drive.

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

Responsibilities

As a member of the software engineering division, you will apply basic to intermediate knowledge of software architecture to perform software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.
