Job Description

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc .As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in defining and evolving standard practices and procedures to help customers in arriving at right solutions to use cases.. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in an area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area of proposing and prototyping solutions. 8+ years of software engineering or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Managing and maintaining PostgreSQL databases: Index Management, Vaccum Management, performance tuning, security, reliability, data-modeling etc.

• Experience with popular PostgreSQL Extensions

• In depth understanding of PostgreSQL lifecycle and data management (patching, upgrades, high availability, failover, backups and recovery)

• In depth understanding of the configurability of PostgreSQL database: Networking, memory management, session management etc.

• Programming experience in PL/pgSQL

• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with Data Architects, and Software Development Engineers

• Experience with database migration solutions (logical, streaming replications)

• Able to write blogs evangelizing solutions targeting specific use-case

• Solid database customer support skills

• Strong Cloud experience in any of the leading Public Cloud platforms

• PostgreSQL consulting experience

• Experience with horizontal scaling(Read replicas and replication management)

• Good understanding of the Linux Kernel features that PostgreSQL relies on

• Interest and awareness of current and future trends in the database realm, cutting-edge is our middle name and you love to be ahead of the curve
