Google Contracting Operations Lead, Google Procurement Organization in Bengaluru, India

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain and Operations Management, Finance, or Business or equivalent practical experience.

  • 10 years of experience in multi-disciplined procurement, leading strategy development, execution and sourcing or a related function.

  • 5 years of experience in contract management, legal, or procurement roles, with a focus on overseeing the contract life-cycle.

  • Experience drafting, reviewing, and finalizing contracts, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Experience in contract negotiation, terms clarification, and issue resolution, and implementing negotiation strategies.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Contract Management, Business Law, or a related field.

  • Experience in managing contracting functions or tasks, and overseeing and managing the performance of outsourced functions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and quality standards.

  • Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to contract management, and experience with industry best practices and emerging trends in contract management, with the ability to implement these practices to optimize contracting processes.

Within the Google Procurement Organization, the Procurement Operations team is responsible for providing scaled operations support and bringing growth to Google-wide sourcing, supplier, and contract management.

  • Oversee the contract life-cycle, from drafting and negotiation to execution and renewal.

  • Identify and engage with external vendors or service providers to handle specific aspects of the contracting process.

  • Oversee drafting, review, and finalization of contracts, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Provide support and assistance in contract negotiations, terms clarification, and resolving issues in collaboration with partners.

  • Manage relationships with contract-related vendors or partners, ensuring alignment with contract terms and service level agreements (SLAs)
