job summary:

A Quality Control Inspector in the Beltsville, MD area is needed for a multinational power management company. The Quality Control Inspector inspects and ensures the integrity of manufactured parts, interprets advanced blueprints, creates documentation, maintains certifications, supports operations, and upholds safety and quality standards in a manufacturing environment.

work hours: 8am to 4pm

responsibilities:

  • Visually and manually inspect manufactured parts per acceptance criteria.

  • Interpret advanced blueprints, assembly drawings, angularity, profile, various datums (vectors), and results from advanced measuring techniques (CMM, Keyence, FARO arm) per acceptance criteria.

  • Create FAIR and inspection plan documentation using drawings and standard templates.

  • Record and document all receiving, in-process, and final inspection findings as required, initiate Fast Response as needed.

  • Achieve and maintain applicable certifications, including plating inspection certification, weld inspector certification, general inspector certification, and hardness testing.

  • Participate in 5S+ activities, including maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the work area.

  • Uphold quality integrity and generate non-conformance reports when parts do not meet specifications.

Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Edcuation and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.

  • Minimum three years of manufacturing work experience.
