Assistant Principals for Career and Technical Education (FT-12 month) (3.28.2025)POSITION: Assistant Principals for Career, Technical, and Adult Education (FT-12 month)ESBOCES is looking for an experienced leader who values diversity, equity and inclusion, and who has experience navigating multiple constituents, agencies and audiences to run successful programming in support of all learners. This critical position reports to the Principal of the school building, and serves as a leader within the department, agency and the region to promote the development and delivery of education services.ASSIGNMENT: Department of Career, Technical, and Adult EducationQUALIFICATIONS:NYS SAS/SBL CertificationStrong communication/interpersonal skillsExperience with a diverse student body, preference to be given with CTE experience or backgroundDemonstrate commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environmentRESPONSIBILITIES:Actively promote diversity, equity and inclusion practices throughout the agencyContinuously engage with a myriad of professional development and self-improvement practicesAssist Principal with all operations of the school buildingWork as part of the leadership team to create a warm, welcoming, and affirming work environmentConduct observations and evaluations for all staffBuild trusting relationships with staff, students, families, businesses, industry partners, and other stakeholder groupsAssist in resolving student disciplinary issuesCollaborate with Principal on needed professional development for all staffServe as a resource in curriculum, assessment, and instructionCreate, share, and role model the mission and vision of the agencyThorough knowledge of Part 200 Regulations, graduation, and Career Education requirementsDemonstrate an unwavering commitment to high achievement, social-emotional, and whole child development of all studentsSupport guidance, work experience, and support staff to ensure all students reach program and professional goalsManage all components of industry assessment procurement, delivery, and data managementActively engage in the data collection, analysis, and goal setting for the building and/or the department’s Strategic PlanAssist with the health and safety of building operationsSTART DATE: July 1, 2025SALARY: $135,461.00Studies show that women and members of some groups are more likely to underestimate their qualifications for a position.
