Amazon Sr. Manager, Program Management, Sub Same Day Delivery in Bellevue, Washington

Description

The candidate will be working as a member of the Sub-Same Day (SSD) delivery organization as we work to provide faster than same day delivery across North America. We are looking for a Senior Manager with proven program/product leadership experience to own strategic, tactical, cross-functional, and technology projects and programs within our Sub Same Day Delivery offering. This roles require process design for new delivery models, scoping and creating project plans, developing processes, coordinating and driving execution, and communicating to senior management on status, risks and process/product changes. Cross-team coordination, project management and executive presentation skills are essential. This role can require up to 10% travel annually.

Key job responsibilities

  • Manage a team of 6+ program managers

  • Review and speak to daily and weekly business performance to Senior Leaders

  • Execute implementation of new delivery processes, products, and transportation modes

  • Own long term strategy and roadmap for program/business performance

  • Develop and maintain relationships with both internal and external partners

  • Present in regular Director/VP reviews to provide updates on critical work streams

The vision for Sub Same Day- (SSD) is to create 'Earth's Largest Same Day Store' and become the destination consumers all around the world think of when they 'need it today'. The SSD Delivery Organization owns last mile product requirements and implementation, on road safety, quality, and cost performance, and new transportation and sustainability solutions.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 7+ years of team management experience

  • 7+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience working with, presenting to and influencing senior executives up to VP level

  • Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel (macros, pivots, lookups) at an advanced level

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience implementing network wide programs and initiatives

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $225,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
