System One Senior Contract Administrator in Bellevue, Washington
System One is seeking a Senior Contract Administrator for a 12-month contract opportunity. This role reports directly to the Procurement Manager and is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, negotiating, subcontract administration, and contract closeouts. The Senior Contract Administrator will also play a key role in developing new suppliers to support project success by mitigating risks and ensuring optimal supplier performance.
Responsibilities:
Manage complex subcontracts from pre-award to post-award with a focus on performance, cost, schedule, and quality.
Prepare and oversee procurement activities such as Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotes (RFQs), and Expressions of Interest (EOIs).
Conduct cost and price analyses to determine price reasonableness.
Draft procurement summaries and basis for award documentation.
Review Statements of Work (SOWs) to ensure clarity and eliminate ambiguities for potential suppliers.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and project teams.
Conduct market research to identify potential sources for competitive bidding.
Negotiate pricing and contract terms with suppliers.
Issue subcontracts and related agreements.
Monitor order progress and expedite deliveries to meet project deadlines.
Verify receipt of goods and completion of services; resolve shipment discrepancies with suppliers.
Approve payments by reviewing invoices, subcontracts, and deliverables in coordination with project teams.
Maintain accurate procurement files and records.
Perform subcontract closeouts in a timely manner.
Support other procurement and contract-related duties as assigned.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field (REQUIRED).
Minimum of 6 years of experience in Purchasing, Procurement, and/or Subcontract/Contract Management (REQUIRED).
Experience executing subcontracts in accordance with FAR and/or 2 CFR 200 Procurement Standards (REQUIRED).
Knowledge of handling export-controlled information.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Proven experience in a fast-paced, high-volume procurement environment.
Background in the nuclear industry is preferred.
Technical background is a plus.
Experience implementing successful procurement strategies.
Strong organizational and collaborative working skills.
Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Excellent communication skills.
