Amazon Senior Business Analyst, Fulfilment by Amazon - Inventory Optimization Services in Bellevue, Washington

Amazon's Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA) Voice of Seller team seeks a Senior Business Analyst with a strong technical skill set and a proven ability to influence across multiple organizations. Over the last 20 years, the share of physical gross merchandise sales sold on Amazon by third-party Sellers has grown. With Sellers in multiple countries listing their products for sale on the Amazon Marketplace, these Sellers are increasingly critical to delivering on Amazon’s vision of offering the Earth’s largest selection and lowest prices.

This role will work with science and marketplace business teams to build advanced models to reduce end to end supply chain costs for FBA Sellers. You will build bridges to explain variance in inventory at granular levels to drive appropriate action within FBA product, marketplace business teams, and FBA Sellers. This is an analytical role which will require you to work closely with science and Machine Learning teams. This role will expose you to Seller pain points and ability to reshape their experience by influencing product vision and roadmap to implement step change product ideas globally. Key job responsibilities

• Analyze seller experience trends and build engagement metrics for each marketplace.

• Identify opportunities to improve supply chain efficiency and reduce end to end supply chain cost for Sellers.

• Design seller facing experiments liaising with Product and Science teams.

• Develop Key Performance Indicators that help measure experimental efficacies

• Create actionable bridges to explain variances in seller behavior to expected experimentation outcomes.

• Engage with stakeholders across marketplace business teams, capacity, S&OP and Finance teams to socialize FBA inbound and inventory KPIs

• Design and implement reporting solutions to enable stakeholders to manage the business and make effective decisions.

• Support cross-functional teams on the day-to-day execution of the existent program implementation.

• Monitor existent metrics, build new metrics, and partner with internal teams to identify process and system improvement opportunities

A day in the life

As a Sr. Business Analyst, you will help develop analytic solutions to drive deep dives, provide insights into the health and state of the FBA business. You will transform data for the millions of unique products involving hundreds of thousands of Selling Partners and tens of millions of customers around the world into actionable business information, make it accessible to stakeholders worldwide. You will communicate complex ideas to leadership so they are easily understood. You will own the design, creation, and management of extremely large datasets. From Day 1, you will be challenged with a variety of tasks, ranging from creating datasets, reports, dashboards, metadata modeling, pipeline development and monitoring. You will interact with leadership, scientists, program and product owners, and technical teams to gather requirements, structure scalable data solutions, and gain a deep understanding of key datasets. You will design, implement and drive adoption of new analytic technologies and solutions and promote industry standard best practices. You will be responsible to tune query performance against large and complex data sets.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field

  • 5+ years of business or financial analysis, product costing, procurement, or a quantitative role experience

  • 5+ years of writing SQL queries and creating business intelligence reports using Tableau, Power BI experience

  • Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights

  • Experience with QuickSight dashboard and visual creation

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA

  • Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $106,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
