The Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission (PFBC) is seeking a Fishing and Boating Facilities Maintainer to work within Maintenance Area 5, headquartered in Bellefonte, Centre County. DESCRIPTION OF WORK The position works with the Facilities Supervisor in the Bureau of Engineering and provides vital services through the execution and performance of maintenance duties in support of several Bureaus. This position performs critical service duties to maintain PFBC facilities in a multi-county region. Additionally, this position performs a broad range of maintenance functions including but not limited to weed eating, litter picking, mowing access areas and dams, repairing damaged concrete launch ramps, installing signage, servicing mowers and tractors, and other miscellaneous tasks.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. This position may require some weekend, evening, and holiday work as well as standby time. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of experience operating commercial or industrial-use wheeled or tracked motor vehicles used in groundskeeping, outdoor construction work, agriculture, mining, or forestry work; or Two years of semi-skilled work experience in commercial building or plant maintenance and repair work; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Special Requirements: This position requires possession of an active motor vehicle license. You are required to either possess at the time of hire, or obtain within the probationary period, a commercial driver's license (CDL) and any endorsements required to operate specific equipment to meet operational needs. Additional Requirements: You must be willing and able to work in adverse weather conditions. You must be willing to be called in to work in emergency situations. You must be willing to work some weekends. You must be able to perform essential job functions. Legal Requirements: A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening.
