The Devices & Creativity Sales Partner Account Manager for the GCR markets is responsible for the sales through retailers, distributors and mobile operators of all Devices & Creativity products – M365, Windows Consumer, Surface, and Accessories. This sales role works with channel partners to provide sales leadership by transforming the partners' business models and providing operational support expertise to drive Microsoft's strategy and enable the partner to grow their business.

Responsibilities

The Distribution Sales role plays a pivotal position in fostering and enhancing relationships with distribution partners to drive business impact and growth for Microsoft. This role requires proactive engagement, strategic alignment, and collaborative efforts across internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful execution of joint business plans.

Distribution Partner Engagement (40%)

  • Proactively cultivate and influence distribution partners to amplify business impact and Microsoft's consumer strategy.

  • Collaborate with partners to develop and execute winning strategies for selling through a portfolio of distributor-managed retailers.

  • Drive growth initiatives such as digital transformation and ensure alignment with Microsoft's strategic priorities.

  • Build trusted relationships with partners to drive mutual growth and strategic alignment.

Channel and Account Management (30%)

  • Develop and execute joint partner account plans for both Consumer and SMB business to meet sales targets and ensure alignment with Microsoft's goals.

  • Coordinate with key stakeholders for plan execution and category SKU prioritization.

  • Negotiate and execute programs and promotions with distributors, ensuring compliance with guidelines.

  • Align marketing resources to support distributor marketing efforts with retailers.

  • Facilitate distributor relationship with Microsoft Supply Chain and Operations to ensure order book quality and inventory focus.

Impact (20%)

  • Develop action plans to improve partner satisfaction scores based on partner feedback.

  • Deepen understanding of the distribution channel for Devices & Creativity, including partner capabilities, competitors, and market trends.

  • Advocate for partners internally, using insights from engagements and business reviews to address key blockers.

  • Utilize internal resources and investment options to maximize growth and ROI.

  • Foster a culture of testing and piloting new motions for incremental growth opportunities.

  • Differentiate Consumer and SMB business management, elevate Disti capability and contribution.

Collaboration (10%)

  • Lead cross-team collaboration to support distribution partners, sharing business plans with relevant stakeholders and driving actions internally.

  • Articulate impact and opportunities with distribution-led channels to regional and WW teams.

Collaborate effectively with other Microsoft field teams, applying a "One Microsoft" mindset to maximize partner business.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in partner management, sales, business development, or related roles in the technology industry.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.

  • OR a Master degree with 10+ years of relevant experience.

  • Track record of sales delivery and execution, with a focus on distribution channel management.

  • Great understanding of consumer channels and retail landscape.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive long-term sustainable sales growth with partners.

  • Fluent in Mandarin and proficient in English communication in a multinational organization.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ year(s) experience with planning, budgeting, and project management activities.

  • Work experience in Consumer Electronics/IT ecosystem experience with a focus on devices and services sales across consumer segments
