Emerson BOM Buyer in Beijing, China

Job Summary:

Work as a strong business group in supply chain, to align with trade compliance, high Emerson Ethics and guideline, drive material on time supporting customer demand with optimized inventory, pre-alert on any potential massive shortage or line down impact.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Work closely with internal customer to drive material on-time dock schedule and meet customer demand. Pre-alert on any massive shortage impact or line down.

  • In time confirmation on material status for lead time inquiry and in production schedule system to support response to customer or production needs.

  • Keep part parameter accuracy, reschedule part dock schedule along with forecast and customer demand changes to keep accurate material driving signal, optimize inventory and meet company target based on global guideline;

  • Evaluate Supplier and Supply Chain delivery performance per PO Lines. Lead communication among direct supplier, Supplier Performance Engineer (SPE), Commodity Manager (CM) and International Procurement Officer (IPO) to find out solution for any issues impact delivery schedule case by case;

  • Timely record overdue code on customer service level by material shortage and improve to prevent further shortage;

  • Work with SPE, CM and IPO on improve material lead time, supermarket healthy and shipment expediting;

  • To transfer special issue to related group and solve the issues, including but not limited to shipping or documents error, payment issue, discrepancy between system forecast and actual demand;

  • To coordinate with IPO and related internal group to speed up responses and solutions;

  • To join the project team and finish BOM buyer responsibility along with project schedule.

  • To finish other programs and activities timely based on working requires;

Who You Are:

Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences. Actively learning through experimentation when tackling new problems, using both successes and failures as learning fodde. Rebounding from setbacks and adversity when facing difficult situations.

To meet this role request, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, majoring Supply Chain, International trade or procurement/logistics

  • Good customer service, good communication skill and strong leadership;

  • Good capability and experience for project execution, result driven and process improvement;

  • Proficient English in speaking, listening, writing and reading, can host English teleconference/WebEx/Teams;

  • Handles and manages crises effectively

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Master or be familiar with ERP system(Oracle or others) and digital software applications is helpful
