Aston Carter Accountant in Bedford Heights, Ohio

Corporate Accountant Opportunity:

  • Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm (after training, can work 2 days remote)

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborates closely with the Corporate Controller, the Director of Tax and Risk Management and other accounting staff.

  • Will support the Corporate Accounting department by assisting with daily reporting, treasury and interfacing functions, the month-end closing process, financial reporting, and quarterly reviews with our external audit team.

  • Will support the Corporate Tax department by assisting with unclaimed funds and employee benefit plan reporting, sales/use and gross receipts tax returns, and audit requests as needed.

  • Provide daily consolidated operational and treasury results to management.

  • Assist the Corporate Accounting personnel by preparing and posting month-end journal entries and performing account reconciliations.

  • Assist the Director of Tax and Risk Management by preparing returns, reports, gathering data and performing reconciliations.

  • Prepare financial reports to management.

  • Provide accurate and timely data to internal and external audit teams.

  • Provide technical accounting and tax support to other departments and roles within the organization.

Qualifications:

  • 2-4+ years of Accounting experience such as Financial Reporting, Treasury Management, Month-end Journal Entries, Account Reconciliations, Tax Returns Preparation

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred, or Finance

  • Advanced Excel skills for financial reporting
