Who We Are Looking For

Nike is looking for a Principal to support Nike’s sustainability offense by driving, leading, and carrying out the strategy for an end to end offense across Nike Direct & Marketplace Partners in NA, in alignment with Nike’s Global strategic priorities.

What You Will Work On

  • Lead the Marketplace Sustainability strategy in the NA GEO, powering our consumer connection to protect the future of sport and strengthen our position in the marketplace

  • Develop and lead a strong cross functional offense that drives alignment, functional ownership, and successful implementation of key work streams

  • Champion approaches and initiatives that further enterprise strategy with locally relevant nuance and business priorities

  • Support leaders across the NA marketplace to bring education, awareness, and integration opportunities to their teams, serving as member of extended leadership teams for Nike Direct, Retail Operations, Marketplace Partners, etc.

  • Drive a measurable and scalable approach to integrating sustainability into the work of the marketplace functional teams, and implementing sustainability initiatives across the GEO marketplace

  • Innovate to develop opportunities aligned to Nike’s business and sustainability strategy

  • Evolve and scale key circular business models such as Nike Refurbished, the Recycling + Donation service (RAD) and 2030 targets readiness like retail waste management, etc.

  • Drive initiatives that are culturally/locally relevant for your geo

  • Prioritize and keep teams focused on relevant items to ensure progress

  • Analyze and develop insights from data and technical information with in-depth understanding of strategic priorities

  • Set up and guide NA to achieve its 2030 sustainability targets

Who You Will Work With

This role sits in the NA GEO but reports into the Global Sr Director Nike Direct & Marketplace Partners Sustainability. This role partners with all functions under Direct (Stores, Digital) and Marketplace partners in the GEO. A role that works across the matrix with also key partners in Marketing, Design, Technology, Logistics and Global Sustainability.

What you bring to Nike

  • Bachelor's degree or higher; or combination of relevant education, experience and training

  • 5 or more years of experience in the following – Retail, Digital, Strategy or Program Management with proven work in Sustainability

  • Seasoned program manager, able to handle complex topics. Strong influence skills, with the ability to champion complex projects across the organization.

  • Experience working in a heavily matrixed organization

  • Strategic vision and the ability to take a complex problem and developing a framework to evaluate options, weigh out benefits and risks, make/facilitate a well-rounded recommendation

  • Strong interpersonal skills, collaborator with ability to work across and align team org on issues

  • Strong leadership, problem structuring and solving skills

  • Self-directed and comfortable working in ambiguous environments to make informed and objective decisions

  • Strong business acumen

  • Ability to author presentations and present at executive level

  • Results driven with the ability to work under pressure

  • Executive level data analysis and reporting skills

  • High comfort with managing complex and dynamic partner structures
