Nike Merchant II, Mens Sportswear Apparel in Beaverton, Oregon

The Merchant II, Men’s NSW Apparel position will support the Lead Merchant for Nike Classic Apparel and Sr. Merchant for Nike NSW Tees, reporting into the Men’s Lifestyle Apparel Merchandising Sr. Director. This individual will enable consumer-led Product Line-Plans and Assortments that deliver on business expectations by leveraging marketplace insights, retail acumen, and collaboration with Geography and cross-functional partners.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

You will enable the strategizing, building, and managing of the Sportswear product offering and assortments, supporting the Merchandising teams to land Product Opportunities for a Global Consumer.

A consistent part of your day-to-day responsibilities will be the detailed management, maintenance and communication of all seasonal tools and systems. Enabling this effort will be the development of key relationships among cross-functional teammates, comfort with research and analysis, along with a genuine curiosity and commitment to learn and evolve.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You’ll partner with several cross-functional teams – consumer planning, product creation, GEO merch, and consumer insights & analytics as well as the gender merchandising teams.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, Marketing, or a combination of relevant experience

  • 2+ years of experience in Retail, Merchandising, Product Management, Marketplace, Buying, or relevant experience

  • Demonstrated understanding of consumer and marketplace

  • Entrepreneurial spirit, experience working on new projects/start-ups/concepts/ideas

  • Proficiency in analyzing business and consumer trends

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to collaboratively manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including presentations to various cross-functional partners

  • Team first mentality, energy giver
