The Digital Marketing offense delivers disruptive digital strategies to maximize brand concepts.

As part of Global Digital Marketing, the Global Social Media team is shaping the strategic vision and implementation across all organic social media platforms. As social media becomes increasingly complex, Nike Global Social Media is responsible for understanding the landscape, standing out and deepening the connection of our brand with consumers.

Who we are looking for

Nike Global Social Media is responsible for the co-creation, planning, programming, creative standards and publishing of all global-level channels. The Creator and commerce programs team is a newly formed effort to unify Nike’s engagement with influential voices on social media through one lens. It’s bringing together the art + science of Creators to write the next chapter of Nike in a way that is aligned to brand and business goals.

The Lead, Global Social and Creator Capabilities is responsible for building the frameworks and systems to scale social and creator within Nike’s digital brand, allowing us to inspire every athlete* to do, watch, and connect with sport.

The ideal candidate will need:

:: Commerce Innovator. You are leaned into the social commerce revolution and excited to test and learn about new ways to sell products on social media (including exploring whole new channels themselves).

:: Social media excellence. Strong understanding of social media platforms, their content requirements, and their unique functionality (how to make for each platform, not just copy/paste across all channels).

:: Cultural Leader. Help activate and foster a strong team identity, built on collaboration, a shared vision of success and a strong work ethic.

You obsess the latest trends in creators, the role athletes play in this emerging channel, and are able to overlay consumer need to create industry leading solutions.

What you will work on

If this is you, you will be working with Brand Creative, Brand and Digital Brand teams to shape creator capabilities and experiences as well as innovate social shopping programs. You are responsible for collaborating across teams to identify social shopping opportunities in our marketing calendar, optimizing activation processes, and unlocking the future of creators at Nike.

A typical day/week looks like

  • Partner cross-functionally to develop shopping moments within seasonal run of show.

  • Manage platform commerce activation (hands on keyboard) in Instagram Shops and any future platforms, including troubleshooting with platforms directly.

  • Partner with AdTech teams to identify any needs for existing programs.

  • Collaborate to develop product marketing content through creators with UGC and Lifecycle teams.

  • Meet with agency and SaaS partners to implement new processes and features to scale our tools and systems to drive greater impact.

  • Support athlete and sport moments where appropriate.

  • Meet with Consumer Services, NDDC, and platform teams to identify green field opportunities for Social Commerce and Creator at Nike.

Who you will work with

In this role, you will sit in the Global Social Team, reporting to the Director of Creator Programs. The creator team within digital brand works to build high-concept programs that drive brand growth and scale evergreen storytelling through social content creation. You also will work across with each construct’s strategy team to manage commerce activation opportunities for social shopping. You will also work with social platform partners, media team, and ad-tech team to identify new creator and social commerce alphas and betas to build Nike’s brand and business. You will also work with Ad-Tech partners to define and input any tech needs for creator programs.

What you bring

  • 5+ years of experience working on a social or influencer team, at a social agency or brand, ideally across paid, owned, shared and earned content.

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Marketing or related field; or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.

  • Proven experience working and managing relationships with social media or affiliate partners, setting standard processes, advancing measurement and leading the intersection between brand and business excellence.

  • Experience with Instagram Shops or TikTok Shops is preferred.

  • Proven experience working with creative teams on digital and social platforms (examples of projects encouraged)

  • Interest in Sport* x youth x culture, emerging technologies and specifically social shopping

  • Comfortable in managing ever-changing platform landscape while providing clear POV’s and willingness to align / educate / compromise with partners

  • Experience working and managing teams within Project Management Tools (AirTable, Asana, etc) and Creator Management Platforms (Captiv8, CreatorIQ, Klear, etc).

  • Excellent oral & written communication skills including strong presentation skills
