Pearl Street Market Food Preparation Workers in Beach Haven, New Jersey
Food Preparation Workers. 3 temp/full-time positions with PSM, LLC DBA Pearl Street Market from 4/1/25-9/15/25.
Assists with food prep/serving. Workers must be able to perform a variety of tasks without close suprvsn, including wash/peel/cut, prep food/take ticket orders brought by waiters/waitresses for food/beverage orders at their wrkstatns; Distribute food to waiters/waitresses to serve to customers. Remove dishes from tables/counters, clean dining areas & work areas/wash dishes/pots/pans. Stock service areas with supplies/empty trash/perform assorted side duties and ability to follow instrctns. Entry level, reqs supervsn.
Must lift/carry 50 lbs., when nec. Wrk schedle is at least 5 days/week with shifts varying by day and work days varying by week to include Sat/Sun.
On-the-job training will be provided to the wrkr.
Emplyr pay in advance/reimburses wrkrs in the first wrkwk for all gov-mandated/visa-related fees (exclude passport fees). For non-lcl wrkrs (i.e., residing outside norm commute distance), emplyr reimburses inbnd trvl costs at the 50% point in the contract (unless paid in advnce). Inbnd trvl includes transprt costs from wrkrs perm residence/place of recruitment, a daily meal subsistence (based on rates reqd by law, currently $15.88/day min or $59/day max for wrkrs with acceptable receipts), and reasnble lodging costs, if applicable. Trvl reimburse based on least-cost commn carrier rate. Emplyr provides/pays outbnd trvl costs upon completion of the contract period/early dismissal, except where the wrkr has subsqnt emplymnt.
Emplyr guarantees to offer hrs equal to at least 3/4th of the wrkdays in each 12-week period of the total contract period, begin with the wrkers 1st wrkdy and end on the contract end date/any extension thereof. Emplyr may count all hrs wrkd, as well as any hrs offered within the standrd wrk schedule that a wrkr chooses to not wrk, up to the max number of daily hrs on the job order. Wrkrs who vol abandon emplymnt arent entitled to payment for outbnd travel costs or the full 3/4th period guarantee described above.
Emplyr provides without charge all tool/supply/equip (incl. uniforms, if applicable) nec to perform duties assigned. If reqd, emplyr helps non-lcl workers secure optnl wrkr-paid lodging (not to excd fair mrkt value, based on number of occupnts; cost TBD). Housing costs paid directly to landlord and are not payroll dedct.
JOB LOCATION: 229 Pearl Street Beach Haven, NJ 08008 in Ocean county. No daily transprt to/from workers' home & primary wrksite. Such transprt complies with all applcble Fed/State/local laws/regs.
WAGE INFO:
Wage rate is no less than $22.10/Hr. OT hrs vary at $33.15/Hr.
Raises and/or bonuses may be offered at emplyr's discretion, based on indvdl factrs such as perform/skill/tenure. A single wrkwk will be used to compute wages due. The payroll period is wkly. Wrkrs are paid by check on Fri. The standrd wrk schedle is from 6AM-2:30PM, Mon-Fri.
Emplyr will offer 40 hrs/week. Emplyr may offer more than the stated work hrs, depend on weather/biz needs/other condtns.
Emplyr makes all payroll deduct reqd by law. Emplyr does not envision other wrkforce-wide payroll dedcts.
