Key Responsibilities:

As a Junior Buyer at Siemens, you will implement commodity strategies to ensure a long-term, cost-effective supply of materials. You will contribute to the implementation and usage of globally defined methods, processes, and systems to enhance process efficiency and compliance, such as the Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process, procurement guidelines, and IT systems.

You will prepare and conduct negotiations for low to medium purchasing volumes for selected, standardized material fields. In some cases, you will work with the support of a Buyer or Senior Buyer to achieve the highest feasible savings. Additionally, you will generate, document, and implement savings, plan, monitor, and report on relevant KPIs to contribute to business success and ensure transparency of results.

Supporting supplier management processes, including qualification, selection, evaluation, development, and classification, will also be part of your role.

You will update supplier evaluation systems to develop and maintain the best suppliers and ensure transparency. Ensuring close cooperation with internal customers is crucial to provide excellent customer care and ensure early involvement in the procurement process. You will also systematically forward all relevant procurement-related project information, such as updated contractual conditions and supplier management data, to keep all project participants up to date.

About You:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field

• Previous experience or internships in procurement or supply chain management is a plus

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills

• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with procurement software is an advantage

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
