Description

We are seeking a diligent Sr. Accountant to join our team in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be tasked with maintaining financial records, resolving account discrepancies, and ensuring financial reporting accuracy. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. This is a primarily on-site position with some flexibility for remote work, when necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Accurate processing and reconciliation of accounts

• Conducting balance sheet reconciliations

• Executing bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy

• Maintaining and updating the general ledger

• Preparing and posting journal entries as required

• Utilizing Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting

• Ensuring timely month end close processes

• Operating NetSuite for financial management and operations

• Accurately recording accruals and amortizations

• Performing other accounting duties as assigned.

Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is necessary

• Experience with Balance Sheet Reconciliation is required

• Must have a solid understanding of Bank Reconciliations

• Knowledge of General Ledger management is essential

• Capable of handling Journal Entries accurately

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with Month End Close procedures is needed

• Experience with NetSuite software is a plus

• Expertise in managing Accruals is preferred

• Understanding of Amortization processes is required
