SUMMARY OF DUTIES

This position is responsible for conducting internal audits of various processes, including complex information technology (IT) and investment audits. The position also conducts agency compliance audits for TRSL. Internal audits are of considerable complexity given the overall IT infrastructure of TRSL and the numerous investment strategies in which TRSL employs, including alternative investments, hedge funds, derivatives, etc. The agency compliance audits are of considerable complexity and scope and are conducted throughout the State of Louisiana to determine whether employing agencies are in compliance with Louisiana Revised Statutes and TRSL Board policies and procedures.

This position has a Special Entrance Rate (SER) as follows:

If filled as an Auditor 1 - $1,544.80 bi-weekly

If filled as an Auditor 2 - $1,652.80 bi-weekly

If filled as an Auditor 3 - $1,866.40 bi-weekly

Minimum Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

FISCAL OPTION:

A baccalaureate degree with nine semester hours in accounting and an additional fifteen semester hours in any one or combination of the following: accounting, auditing, business, finance, management, economics, quantitative methods, or information systems.

GENERAL OPTION:

A baccalaureate degree with twenty-four semester hours in one or a combination of the following: accounting, auditing, business, finance, management, economics, quantitative methods, or information systems.

SUBSTITUTIONS:

A certified public accountant (CPA) certificate, Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation will substitute for the baccalaureate degree with twenty-four semester hours of the required coursework.

A baccalaureate degree plus a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or Certified Government Audit Professional (CGAP) designation will substitute for the twenty-four semester hours of required coursework.

A master's degree in accounting, auditing, business administration, finance, management, economics, quantitative methods, public administration, or information systems and decision sciences will substitute for the twenty-four semester hours of required coursework.

NOTE: Any college hours or degree must be from an accredited college or university.
