Mississippi Department of Transportation MDOT Accountant Technician III in Batesville, Mississippi
This employer will be hosting a Job Fair on June 25, 2024 from 8:00am - 2:00 pm at MDOT 7759 US Highway 80 West Newton, MS 39345.
Batesville District Office. Advanced Accounting vocational-level position responsible for maintaining specialized accounting record systems including resolving errors, balancing accounts and records, and preparing reports. Employees also may help lower level accounting staff solve technical problems. At this level, employees may monitor and give information about a variety of fiscal areas (e.g. grants, budgets, benefits, etc.) and may analyze transactions to determine if complex accounting entries are accurate. Also accountable for reviewing and processing complicated or contested transactions (e.g. Payroll, accounts receivable/payable, travel expenses, collections, etc.).
Typically requires a High School Diploma or high school equivalency and 3-5 years of experience.
