Alleghany Services Heavy Equipment Operator in Basom, New York
Full job description Operate/monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality output and minimal unplanned stops. Equipment may include but is not limited to: Excavators, bulldozers, loaders, skidsteers, haul trucks, and/or trackers. Perform site work including shoveling, pipe laying, fine grading, operating GPS enabled machinery, setting laser controlled grades, and completing necessary paperwork. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work procedures and adhere to safe work practices. Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment. Cooperation with Managers and Laborers to ensure that jobs are completed on time and on budget. Ensure company equipment, material, and the work site are maintained, kept clean, and stored in a safe manner. Identify areas for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change. Perform basic Laborer tasks when required to ensure jobs are completed according to timeline. Submit an accurate record of hours worked, clocking in and out each day via a time tracking mobile application. Ensure all company safety regulations are upheld.
