Position: Capstone Community Action is seeking a Facilities Manager to lead, coordinate, and perform the multiple and
various tasks and projects necessary for the maintenance and safety of Capstones facilities. Reporting to the Chief
Operations Officer, the Facilities Manager has broad responsibility for all aspects of facilities operations, including
construction, maintenance, repairs and general upkeep of buildings, grounds, and systems, as well as management of
budgets, leases, and contracts. This position represents an excellent opportunity for a dynamic facility operations leader
who enjoys and has skills in both hands-on maintenance work and administrative management.
Qualifications: The Facilities Manager must have experience with performing and managing various maintenance tasks
and projects (commercial properties experience preferred), and experience performing administrative tasks related to
facilities management, preferably in a multi-program, nonprofit organization. The Facilities Manager must also be able
to regularly perform tasks involving moderate to moderately strenuous physical activity and which require climbing
ladders and stairs, bending, crouching, kneeling, and reaching, and lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Additional qualifications include:
Comprehensive knowledge of facilities maintenance operations.
Knowledge of basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical systems, and the ability to perform basic repairs.
Ability to use a variety of power and manual tools and equipment.
Basic math and budgeting skills.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and to work according to instructions, protocols, rules, and policies.
Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), as it relates to
public accommodations; The Davis Bacon Act; and OSHA/VOSHA standards.
Expertise in relevant safety protocols, standards, and procedures, and the ability to maintain and promote a safe
work environment.
Excellent organizational, planning, and recordkeeping skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office products,
including Excel.
Understanding of and positive regard for people with low incomes and accessing income-based services, and
motivation to work in support of Capstones mission.
Compensation & Benefits: This is a full-time position, offering a competitive salary of \$70,000 (annualized) and
generous paid time off, insurance, and retirement plan benefits.
