Job Title: Production Supervisor
Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Supervisor to manage the second shift production schedule. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing production processes, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining a safe work environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Manage the Production Schedule for the second shift.
Identify and secure necessary resources (people, materials, etc.).
Schedule and assign work to department employees, managing and adjusting priorities.
Monitor production process and progress in terms of meeting production goals; troubleshoot problems as necessary.
Ensure proper functioning of equipment by coordinating with maintenance and other departments as needed.
Coordinate with incoming/outgoing shift supervisors and other Managers as needed to ensure a smooth transition between shifts.
Send out required shift updates once information is entered at the end of the shift.
Ensure that all quality checks are completed for each line during the second shift.
Oversee other special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
Follow and adhere to all safety policies.
Provide required safety training specific to each department and employees.
Ensure a safe work environment by operating within and enforcing organization standards.
Maintain a clean work area consistent with GMP guidelines.
Maintain quality production by operating within and enforcing organization standards.
Participate in ISO Certification program and perform associated auditing functions.
Participate in writing work instructions and procedures for certifications.
Provide ongoing training and development for all employees on the shift.
Foster a positive work environment through open communication and teamwork.
Provide performance feedback to staff, recognize superior performance, and provide coaching or discipline as needed.
Resolve work and interpersonal conflicts as needed.
Establish an environment that motivates and engages employees to achieve desired results.
Coordinate engineering changes, product line extensions, or new product launches to ensure timely and orderly material and production flow transitions.
Identify process bottlenecks and implement solutions in a timely manner.
Maintain efficiency and capacity in production by operating within and enforcing organization standards for continuous improvement.
Participate in the recruitment and selection of staff as needed.
Manage direct labor, materials, and other related costs to budget.

Knowledgeable of and/or trained in all major safety-related activities (Lock Out/Tag Out, Behaviorally Based Safety, incident investigations).
Knowledgeable of and/or trained in all major quality-related activities (statistical process control, etc.).
Results orientation with a high level of personal initiative, energy, and ownership for success.
Strong supervision and team leadership skills for a multi-cultural team.
Good interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work equally well with all levels of employees.
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to understand and interpret the production schedule.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
