Water Quality Labs Wastewater Operator (WW Operator) in Banner Elk, North Carolina
Wastewater treatment plant and system operators manage a system of machines to transfer or treat wastewater. Job involves traveling to area sewer plants, collecting samples, maintaining equipment, and adding chemicals as necessary. A driver's license and high school diploma or GED are required. Candidates must be able to lift and transfer a minimum of 50 pounds and work with other heavy equipment, as well as walk on scaffolding and occasional ladders. Company pays mileage and offers a competitive insurance and benefit package, as well as PTO and paid holidays. We will accept applicants without licenses and pay for the appropriate training; acquisition of at least a Grade II Biological wastewater license will be required as a condition of ongoing employment. Operators with current Licensure are encouraged to apply and will be offered a salary commensurate with experience. PPE and work clothing will be provided.
