FireTv Devices org is looking for a talented and experienced Software Development Manager who is responsible for building products and software features at a global scale for FireTV customers across the globe. In this role, the SDM will work hands-on with engineering, leadership and Product Management teams to deliver results while fostering inputs and participation from all levels of the organization.

As the engineering team leader, you’ll work closely with local engineering staff and a team of experts to design and execute your team’s feature roadmap. You will have direct input into requirement definition, and will work closely with our customers, developers and product managers to define, develop and deliver new products and features. The ideal candidate is equally obsessed with delivering the best possible customer experiences and leading and building strong teams. They define software architecture, communicating effectively with engineers, partners, leaders and a broad set of stakeholders. This leader can think long-term, advocate for strong engineering excellence, and bring in their own software development best practices as well as follow best practices from the broader development community in Amazon.

The ideal candidate has a passion for TV and video entertainment with an established track record delivering break-out consumer software experiences.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
