Job & Division Summary:

Electrical and Instrumentation support for Bioprocessing systems of Ingersoll Rand.

Responsibilities

  • The candidate will oversee Designing, Developing, and supporting the technical work for Ingersoll Rand's Air Treatment product portfolio, which includes the different types of Refrigerated Compressed Air dryers and Filters.

  • The candidate will support and execute the engineering work and keep alignment with ongoing assignments, by considering technicality, time and Quality requirements. As well candidate meets the First pass yield and on time delivery.

  • Engage with Global key stakeholders and meet the business partner’s expectations. Flexible Travel as required to global location on need basis.

  • Drive the design review and lead the project technically as per NPD process.

  • Maintain all design documents for Design verification.

  • Select all system Refrigeration system component and work with supplier to optimize the system cost.

  • Execute the DFMEA, RCA of design problems as on need.

Mandatory Skills

  • A solid background with at least 5 years in the HVAC industry, focusing on air conditioning and refrigeration.

  • Proficient in developing new products that utilize refrigeration vapor compression technology.

  • Practical knowledge and experience with A2L/A3 category flammable refrigerants such as R32, R290, R454B, R1234yf, etc., along with a strong grasp of associated safety standards, Handling and industry trends.

  • Experienced in the design and development of thermal systems and heat exchangers, including expertise in their sizing and performance calculations.

Desired skills:

  • Proficient in overseeing the product development cycle and adept at managing modifications throughout the product's lifespan.

  • Well-versed in compliance with regulatory standards such as CE, PED, and F-gas regulations.

  • Skilled in using CAD software like Creo or Autodesk Inventor, and proficient with PLM systems such as Windchill or similar tools.

  • In-depth understanding of design and manufacturing concepts.

  • Experienced in conducting tests and qualification procedures for air conditioning and refrigeration systems.

  • Capable of accurately estimating product costs from an engineering perspective.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Competent in resolving disputes and employing critical thinking to address challenges effectively.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical information to stakeholders

Basic Qualifications

Experience:-

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or M. tech heat exchanger / thermal / Refrigeration specialization (added Advantage)

  • 6 10 years of Exp. in Air conditioning and refrigeration field.

  • Proactive, self-motivating with ability to develop own priorities.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

  • Ability to travel both domestic and international as and when required,

  • Flexible, adaptable, and eager to deliver timely results despite unanticipated challenges.
