Responsibilities
People Manager
Lead a diverse team of Senior and Principal Engineers based out of multiple countries in Asia
Practice Model, Coach and Care and abide by our principles of Accountability, Integrity and Respect while providing ongoing feedback that helps your direct reports improve their performance, develop skills and support their career aspirations
Exhibit curiosity towards different cultures the teams come from, ensure inclusion of thoughts & ideas, and build a cohesive team that contributes to each other’s success, and bring their authentic self
Provide technical guidance, help unblock roadblocks by bringing in global expertise within the organization & beyond when needed
Contribute to Asia Data & AI Strategy and Semester plans – identifying focus areas, patterns, stakeholder alignments, setting goals etc.
Ensure Team is working on high quality Data, AI & Analytics engagements in their areas, by partnering with Program managers (PM) & their leads
Contribute to execution excellence for Asia based Engineers, ensuring a healthy balance between customer engagements, upskilling and internal initiatives
Qualifications
The Skills listed below can help in being successful in this role, we don’t expect you to have all of them and we seek individuals who are excited about this role and love to learn what’s required.
Technical experience in building and designing Data, Analytics or AI systems on at least one public cloud Azure, AWS, GCP
5+ years of people management experience, managing Engineers. Additionally, leading teams which are functionally & geographically diverse will be advantageous
Customer-facing experience in leading projects, consulting or delivery, in leading technical conversations and leveraging expertise from other teams
Working with enterprise customers on cloud specific data solutions, systems development and deployments
Experience working across stakeholders & leadership, with an ability to educate and influence with high levels of ambiguity and tight deadlines
Bachelor’s or relevant degree in Computer Science background, with coding, systems design, information systems management and other relevant subjects
