Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for design of Instrument & Control engineering for Oil and Gas applications.

  • Responsible to provide technical support in procurement of Instrument & Control equipment/materials when required.

  • Responsible for coordination and communication with other disciplines, as an Instrument & Control focal point.

  • Review Material Handling Facilities, Methodology and Requirements for Fabrication, Installations and Operation.

  • Design and draft out instrument and process control deliverables.

  • Selection of Instruments, PLC, Communication system for Oil & Gas projects,

  • Preparation of loop drawings, junction box drawings, wiring and schematic diagrams, Instrument layout plans.

  • Creation of instrument specification sheets, Instrument Data Sheets, Instrument Index, instrument hook ups, Instrument bill of materials.

  • Preparation of Control Network Architecture, PLC wiring diagrams, SCADA systems.

  • Creation of Control wiring schedule, Cable routing

  • Preparation of Cause and Effect diagrams.

  • Participate and contribute to technical review sessions e.g. HAZOP, IDC, IFC, etc. as an Instrument & Control focal point.

  • Provide engineering supports during construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning phases where applicable.

  • Monitor and resolve all Instrument & Control engineering issues surfaced at job-sites expeditiously for smooth completion of fabrication and installation.

  • Responsible for all Instrument & Control project works, status reports, reviews, assessments, evaluations.

Required Skills (Technical Competency):

  • Have good understanding of process and facilities design and production operations of Offshore oil and gas projects

  • Design experience in a drafting environment developing Instrument Index, Datasheet, Instrument Installation, Instrument plans, sections and details, IO Lists, wiring diagrams

  • Have extensive knowledge of Instrument & Control equipment required for Offshore facility

  • Have good knowledge of international codes and standards applicable for Instrumentation Control System design

  • Tools : AutoCAD, MS Office, SPI In tool(Added Advantage)

  • Working Knowledge of codes and standards NEC, NFPA70, IEC, IEEE, UL, AS.
