Expected salary range of $180,900 to $201,000 , varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
The responsibility of the Sr. Manager, ISO Operations & Fuels Scheduling is to develop and maintain an organization that is able to effectively manage personnel and activities associated with ISO Operations pertaining to Constellation Energy Generation, with the ability to support the needs of the Wholesale Trading Organization. This includes having a broad knowledge of all markets CEG operates, deep understanding of the systems required for the daily bidding/offering of CEG’s portfolio (generation & demand), Fuel/LNG logistics, supporting Portfolio Management regarding capacity bids/offers, ability to collect/report generation data for ISO settlements, performing various monthly and annual regulatory reports and performing the calculation, analysis, and reporting of plant performance and outage statistics, as well as providing projections of future plant performance. Additionally this individual will be responsible for working with the Wholesale Trading organization, Regulatory, Legal as well as external counterparts to ensure all requirements for operations are understood and incorporated into the group’s process.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Responsible for developing/managing systems and procedures to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of bid and offer submissions, ensuring all deadlines and compliance obligations are met. As required, recommend and proactively drive necessary updates to systems to ensure operational excellence.
Manage strategy development and implementation for Fuel Oil deliveries to the generation fleet and LNG Terminal. This requires effective communication with plants, suppliers, delivery companies, Coast Guard and a host of stakeholders to ensure Constellation can meet its commitments.
Manage/Develop coordination with internal/external departments to gain strategy alignment while advocating for CEG on applicable rules/policies/etc. As a member of various stakeholder committees participate and advocate for the company’s best outcome.
Responsible for managing/supporting Wholesale Trading/Origination/Regulatory to ensure alignment of goals and proactively manage any changes driven by market or business goals. Coordinate the structuring of potential transactions ensuring that they fall within market rules and procedures.
Manage relationship with ISO’s, generation facilities, counterparties & fuel supply to ensure appropriate insight into health of assets and viability of operations.
Provides leadership and development to the group. Provides accurate and timely feedback regarding performance and operations. Conduct Individual Performance Review of Direct Reports and ensure line of site of the overall team. Identify opportunities for growth, learning, and continuous improvement.
Execute internal assessment on internal process. Ensure timely self-reporting of any concerns and timely response to external requests from regulators.
Work with internal management team to ensure alignment across Portfolio Operations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s or higher degree in Engineering, Business, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or another related field.
Ten Years relevant experience in wholesale market operations or an equivalent energy related position.
Knowledge with all control areas/RTOs/ISOs we operate: AESO, BPA, ERCOT, GSOC, ISO-NE, MISO, NYISO, PJM, SOCO, and SPP markets in the context of the wholesale business.
Self-motivated to achieve success within a rapidly evolving cross functional multiregional work environment.
Proven ability to take appropriate action within time constraints.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Exhibit strong problem-solving and analytical ability.
Extremely detail-oriented and self-motivated with the ability to think independently and creatively.
Demonstrate the ability to respond to emergencies & manage stressful situations.
Ability to work in an operating environment that requires 24x7operations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Five years’ experience in ISO Operations, Power Scheduling or Real Time Trading & Operations position with transactional experience (e.g. purchase/sale of energy/fuel/ancillary/capacity/transmission products, etc).
Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or other technical degree.
Operational plant or utility experience
Leadership experience.
Experience trading or knowledge of the Wholesale Trading organization
