POSITION SUMMARY:

The IT Network Engineer will play a critical role in supporting and managing the network infrastructure, framework and security including data warehouse and data lake development and components. This position requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in network engineering, management, and data warehousing, coupled with the ability to work collaboratively within an IT Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of our network architecture, ensuring seamless connectivity across our systems, with a specific focus on data warehousing solutions in platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, or Snowflake. They will also collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and external vendors to drive innovation and efficiency in our network operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Take a lead role in the support of designing, implementing, and maintaining a robust and scalable network infrastructure, with a specific emphasis on data warehousing solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network and data warehousing solutions as well as the support of existing IT systems and applications.
  • Oversee the configuration and management of network hardware, software, and databases.
  • Proactively identify and address network performance, data integrity, and security issues, implementing necessary measures to mitigate risks within the network and databases.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in network engineering and management to drive continuous improvement and innovation in both areas.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure the effectiveness and reliability of network services.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for network configurations, topologies, data warehouse structures, and standard operating procedures.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior IT Team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Network Engineer or similar role, with at least 5 years experience.
  • Proficiency in Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, or Snowflake, with a specific focus on data warehousing components, preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and security.
  • Experience with data warehousing concepts, databases, ETL processes, and analytics platforms.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of leading successful projects and initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with effective communication skills.
  • Relevant certifications are a plus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:We offer a hybrid schedule, with 3 days inoffice and 2 days remote after the initial 90-day period.
