University of Maryland, Baltimore Clinical Associate Professor in Baltimore, Maryland
The University of Maryland School of Dentistry is seeking applications for a Clinical Associate Professor in Pediatric Dentistry. This position will teach predoctoral and postdoctoral students and residents in the classroom as well as the clinic, conduct research and mentor students with their research. The candidate will also serve as the predoctoral program director. Major job duties include teaching in predoctoral pediatric dentistry courses, which include lectures and clinical rotations with second, third and fourth-year dental students and pediatric dentistry clerks. This position will also administer and coordinate undergraduate didactic and clinical assignments, revise predoctoral course syllabi, curricula, and clinical manual used in predoctoral pediatric dentistry studies. Finally, this position will coordinate assessment of undergraduate pediatric dentistry assignments in alignment with the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) standards. This position requires completion of a DDS, DMD or equivalent dental degree and completion of two-year residency in pediatric dentistry. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Previous teaching experience, treatment of patients under sedation and general anesthesia, and involvement in research/scholarly activities is preferred.
