Robert Half IT Director in Avenel, New Jersey

Description We are seeking an IT Director within the manufacturing industry based in Avenel, New Jersey, 07001, United States. This role involves the management of our company's technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, servers, and networks. You will work closely with a Managed Service Provider (MSP) for oversight, monitoring, and support. You will also oversee desktop support, external vendors, and IT initiatives, whilst handling general management responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Managed Service Provider on servers, networks, cybersecurity, and data recovery.

• Select, implement, and manage all hardware and software.

• Oversee the hardware lifecycle and manage external developers for company applications.

• Support various technology initiatives and manage external vendors (telecoms, cabling).

• Perform cybersecurity penetration testing and oversee help desk activities.

• Establish technology policies and standards.

• Maintain asset inventory, software listings, IT contracts, and agreements.

• Develop and maintain network topology and infrastructure diagrams.

• Create and manage annual budgets and capital investment plans.

• Supervise desktop support staff.

Skills required include Cisco Technologies, Cloud Technologies, Database, EO/IR systems, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, AB Testing, Backup Technologies, Computer Hardware, Contracts, Deployments. Requirements • Proven experience in a similar IT Director role within the manufacturing industry

• Expertise in Cisco Technologies and Cloud Technologies

• Proficiency in handling databases and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)

• Thorough understanding and experience in Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) systems

• Knowledge of AB Testing strategies and methodologies

• Familiarity with Backup Technologies and Computer Hardware

• Ability to draft and manage contracts

• Experience in orchestrating and managing deployments

• Strong leadership and team management skills

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking

• Superior communication and interpersonal skills

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field is preferred Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
