The Advisor Services division supports registered investment advisors (RIAs) with market-leading custody, trading, technology and practice management tools. The Digital Advisor Solutions (DAS) team within Advisor Services leads digital product development and B2B technology strategy for our Schwab Advisor Center platform, third-party developer API offerings, and internal rep platforms. Schwab is the leading provider of custody services in the RIA market and provides access to sophisticated wealth-management services that help RIAs attract and retain affluent clients, as well as profitably grow, compete and succeed in their business efforts. Schwab serves approximately 15,000 RIA businesses. Our RIA clients manage over $4 trillion of assets in accounts at Schwab.
What you’ll do:
As a Sr. Manager, Digital Product Management (individual contributor) on this team, you will lead our Early Access (EA) pilot program for new features under development. The EA program ensures that we get real-world user testing on digital enhancements before we release products to all customers and stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include:
Continue to refine the structure of the EA program to deliver a streamlined, scalable, and consistent experience for internal partners and advisors
Facilitate the project intake process, and forecast and plan resource needs across partner teams
Plan and develop communications to support executing the pilot at the various stages of the program, including advisor-facing emails, internal-facing presentations on the feature, etc.
Partner with Digital Product Managers, Customer Experience leads, Marketing, Operations, and Service teams to align on the target audience for the pilot group, targeted measures of success and measurement approaches, timing, and key communications messages
Develop a deep understanding of our customers and products, and applying this knowledge in daily decisions
Articulate our EA strategy, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders
What you have
Required Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in marketing, product management/development, or a project management role
Extremely strong organizational and project management skills - Able to juggle small tasks on a daily basis for 5-10 projects that are approximately 3 months in duration. Able to drive progress and accountability across multiple stakeholders and team members
Very strong writing and communication skills – Able to write email copy, professionally respond to advisor questions over email, develop power point presentations on key features as well as to represent the program as a whole
Problem-solving & analytical skills –Able to collect and analyze information, problem-solve, and make decisions through data
Strong relationship-management skills – Able to foster connections across different parts of the organization to drive a well-rounded implementation strategy
Persuasive communicator with strong presentation and meeting management skills - Adept at PowerPoint, good at framing and telling a logical story, effective in facilitating dialog with stakeholders and driving meetings to concrete outcomes
Self-starter and curious – Able to learn quickly about the various areas of our technology platform and aspects of Schwab’s business serving RIAs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with basic market research principals
