ABM Industries Service Technician in Austin, Texas

Overview

Job Description:

To assist customers and Professional Trades maintaining the facility. Assists in performing preventative maintenance on buildings. Duties include Dailey Daily trash removal, Help with Landscape work, Interior or Exterior painting, ceiling tiles, Office construction, Herman Miller cubicle teardown and assembly, moving personnel/equipment, support making signs, event set-up, fence repairs, Heat or freeze control, Animal live traps, general housekeeping, Hang pictures/ posters, material handling, knowledge of operating a variety of equipment including Forklift, work trucks, Pallet Jack, Hand tools, jackhammers, earth tampers, power washers, lay concrete, run errands having a valid TX driver’s license, individual will work with skilled craftsman and know their material and follow directions. Must be alert, have good judgment, and be strong and in good health. Must be able to maintain compliance with all ABM and customer safety and environmental training requirements.

Full-time Monday to Friday schedules varies from 6:30 am to 3:30 pm

Requirement:

  • Bilingual in English

  • Vailed Drivers License

Work Locations:

3501 Ed Bluestein Blvd Austin, Tx

Experience:

Knowledge of residential construction and remodeling trades, practices, procedures,

techniques, tools and equipment, materials, specifications, quality control, cost

control, and safety.

Interpersonal and Communications Skills:

Excellent communications and customer service skills a must.

Able to understand verbal and written instructions.

Adept at establishing relationships with all parties involved in the construction process that facilitate harmonious working relationships during project, and permit prompt resolution of problems and conflicts as they occur.

Organizational Skills: Able to organize assigned tasks, for completion alone or with help. Able to complete and fulfill paperwork required for personal time sheets.

Physical Functions Required: Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods employee may be required to climb or balance; bending, stooping, kneel, crouch or crawl, reaching up, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms, regularly lift and or move up to 75 pounds. Possible exposure to chemicals requiring safety equipment.
