Senior Java Full Stack Engineer with Angular (Remote)

Cognizant’s Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified full stack developer with experience in Java Springboot and Angular, developing and building hard-working, scalable, enterprise applications. You will be part of a digital software team that works on high-demand applications. Our developers have a passion for high-quality, reliable and maintainable code. You will work side by side with product managers, designers, and clients, making decisions together to quickly deliver valuable working software to clients and their users. Location: Remote (EST)

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions using SQL, Spring Boot, Angular JS, Java, JavaScript, and MySQL.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.

• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.

• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge with the team.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.

• Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

• Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.

• Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code.

• Ensure software is updated with the latest features and security patches.

• Develop and execute unit tests to ensure code quality.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation for all development processes.

Qualifications:

• Possess strong technical skills in SQL, Spring Boot, Angular JS, Java, JavaScript, and MySQL.

• Demonstrate excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Exhibit strong communication and collaboration abilities.

• Show proficiency in writing clean, scalable, and maintainable code.

• Have a solid understanding of software development principles and practices.

• Display a proactive attitude towards learning and adopting new technologies.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $68,422 – $114,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
