APPLIED MATERIALS INC Operations and Customer Quality Engineer in Austin, Texas
Applied Materials, Inc. is seeking a Operations and Customer Quality Engineer in Austin, TX to: Develop and apply quality standards and related tests, in accordance with company and customer requirements. Design and implement methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and/or production equipment. Monitor the non-conformance of products (semiconductor) and perform analysis on this data. Analysis provides manufacturing management and teams information on where action needs to be taken to correct and fix problems. Deep dive critical issues to uncover root cause and determine escape gap in our process. From this deep dive, recommend and drive solution with the engineering teams. Work with all manufacturing and engineering function within assigned business unit to ensure compliance to company policies and standards. This activity sometimes comes in the form of pre-shipping audits. Perform a PFMEA on all new products before they are first built on the manufacturing floor. This includes identifying risks with the product/mfg process and implementing actions to reduce or eliminate these risks prior to build start. Run the PFMEA meetings and document findings. Work with the engineering and mfg team to ensure the product meets quality standards, and if not ensure the team develops and implements corrective actions and follows our quality policy.
Requirements:
Masters degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering or related field and 6 months of experience in Operations and Customer Quality Engineer or related occupation. Must have
Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification.
Demonstrate knowledge and/or experience in each of the following:
1.
Quality management

Kanban System, Production leveling, PDCA,
3.
Microsoft Visio, AutoCAD, Excel Modeling,
4.
Lean Six Sigma,
5.
SQL, Tableau,
6.
Value Steam Mapping, ABC cost analysis,
7.
Root cause analysis
Salary:
$101,837.00 - $122,205.00 per year
