Job Title: Materials Handler II

Job Description

The Materials Handler II accurately and safely distributes materials both internally and externally in an efficient and expeditious manner. This role is responsible for stocking, inventory management, and handling of all manufacturing materials. The job requires accurate counting and kitting of materials. The successful candidate will handle transactions and physical movement of material in and out of the stockroom, manage inventory levels, maintain cycle counts and a clean warehouse, kit all work orders, and assist in all WIP movement and transactions. Other duties may include shipping/receiving/packaging tasks.

Hard Skills

  • Material handling of incoming or outgoing parts

  • Data entry of shipping or receiving parts information into MRP or ERP system

  • Computer Skills

  • Picking and packaging

Soft Skills

  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions

  • Effective communication with team members both orally and written

  • Can work up to 10+ hours

  • Ability to drive company truck and/or forklift

  • Ability to exert up to 45 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Austin, Texas.

Work Environment

The work environment is a well-lit, clean, and ventilated room. The warehouse is air conditioned; however, comfortability working partially outdoors is required. The role involves physical demands such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, walking, pushing, pulling, and grasping. The ability to move arms, hands, and fingers, and lift up to 50 lbs is required. Prolonged standing and bending intermittently during work hours is part of the job. The job may be subject to frequent interruptions and requires the ability to sit or stand for sustained periods of time. The role may involve exposure to noise hazard areas, electrical current, moving mechanical parts, exposure to chemicals, and debris.
