ICU Medical Intern - Global Procurement - Hybrid in Austin, Texas
Position Summary// The primary responsibilities of this position are to support Global sourcing strategies through tactical, analytic, and strategic activities. This internship partners cross functionally to identify supply chain opportunities, supporting the team to develop and maintain a qualified supply base, while learning technology trends and market influences. * * Essential Duties & Responsibilities · Collaborates with and occasionally leads other cross functional teams focused on cost control, process improvements and other Supply Chain initiatives to achieve competitive advantage and improve responsiveness to customer demand. * Coordinate with the data analytics business partners for input on reporting. Output will support monitoring price variance to standard cost and spend analysis. * Support category management team in developing and executing requests for information and quotes, bid analysis, price file management, supply agreements and mapping category standardization opportunities and risk analysis. Knowledge & Skills · Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication · Creative problem solver and critical thinker · Analytical work experience in extrapolating large data sets · Supply Chain or Engineering experience and knowledge is preferred · Proficient with MS Excel and PowerPoint and capable of creating visually compelling presentations of data models / results Minimum Qualifications, Education & Experience · Must be at least 18 years of age · High School Diploma required · Bachelor’s degree with specialization in Industrial or other Engineering, statistics, computer science, data science, or other technical /quantitative field preferred Work Environment · This is largely a sedentary role. · This job operates in a combined office and operational environment and routinely uses standard office equipment. · Typically requires travel less than 5% of the time ICU Medical is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer.
