Job Description
Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking Cabana Bartender | Full Time for the beautiful new Barton Creek Country Club! Ranked among the best resorts in Texas: Top 5 Resorts in the Southwest Conde Nast Traveler and Top 5 Resorts in Texas Travel + Leisure World's Best Awards 2023
Responsibilities
Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Omni standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the Club.
Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper attire/uniform and name tag when working.
Provide outstanding service to members and guests in a friendly and professional manner, following proper steps of service.
Mix drinks for servers and members and guests according to standard recipes.
Maintain familiarity with the wine list, the stemware and appropriate garnishes used.
Follow procedures as outlined in employee manual and bartender’s manual. Jigger pour, making drinks for servers only when rung in on Micros.
Keep bar stocked and clean. Follow side work sheet.
Monitor inventory.
Ensure the consistency in the presentation and recipes of all cocktails.
Be familiar with and enforce all policies related to TABC laws.
Be familiar with all Club amenities and activities.
Maintain cleanliness of the entire bar area at all times.
Assist in the orientation and training of new associates.
Participate in associate meetings and trainings.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the restaurant manager.
Qualifications
Must have and maintain current Texas Food Handlers and TABC certifications.
2 years bartending experience required. Prior server experience preferred.
Extensive wine liquor and beer knowledge required.
Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, members, management and co-workers, both in person and by telephone.
Ability to stand for 8-10 hour shift.
Ability to lift minimum of 50 lbs.
Must be able to withstand exposure to weather conditions.
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and multi task.
Must be able to work flexible shift including nights, weekends, and holidays.
