Job Title: Assembler

Job Description

Performs a variety of component installations and inspections on electronic assemblies/subassemblies along a production line. May perform minor repairs as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Read work orders, follow production drawings and sample assemblies, or receive verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.

  • Position and align parts in specified relationships to each other in jigs, fixtures, or other holding devices.

  • Stake, screw, bolt, rivet, weld, solder, cement, press fit, or perform similar operations to join or secure parts in place.

  • Assemble and attach hardware, such as caps, clamps, knobs, and switches, to assemblies.

  • Perform online go-no-go testing and inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.

  • Set up station with the correct documents and components per assembly drawing.

  • Communicate any process problems with peers, leads, supervisors, and/or engineers.

  • Mechanical assembly

  • Power tool operation

  • Blueprint reading

  • Production experience

  • PCB assembly

  • Sub-assemblies handling

  • Electronics knowledge

  • Assembly line experience

  • Manufacturing environment experience

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to stand for the entire shift

  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking
