LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Analyst - Fiscal and Performance Review Coordination (Seasonal, Temporary) in AUSTIN, Texas

  • Coordinate, draft, and review fiscal notes (written estimates of the costs, savings, revenue gains, or revenue losses that may result from implementation of a bill or joint resolution) and contribute to budget and legislative support projects.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to effectively support legislative deliberations and agency success.
  • Communicate effectively with a variety of audiences including, but not limited to, LBB staff and management, legislators, legislative staff, agency personnel, and the general public.
  • Promote sound qualitative and quantitative analysis and make effective recommendations.
  • Communicate effectively by adequately simplifying and translating complex data and providing high level summaries and options for a variety of audiences. Use language appropriate for audience.
  • Contribute to or complete additional assignments that meet agency or legislative needs.

Experience and Education

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a major or minor related to the work of the LBB, including but not limited to: Economics, Public Administration, Government, Political Science, orPublic Affairs required.
  • Graduate degree or two years of relevant professional experience is preferred.
