Supervise a team of academic advisors to provide guidance, resources, professional growth and development opportunities and support to lead them to success in their roles. Lead by example and clearly communicate goals and expectations of the Office of Undergraduate Education. Provide continual and consistent performance evaluation and feedback to the team.Develop and administer quality, high-touch, and student-centered programming and mentorship to Moody College Success Scholars (MCSS). Manage the selection of Moody College Success Scholars and assist in the selection of Moody Mentors. Create curriculum for the second semester MCSS seminar. Supervise Moody Mentors. Track and report on the academic progress of all students in the program.Provides accurate, high-touch, and customer-service driven academic advising across all Moody College of Communication majors regarding academic plan of study, important college and university deadlines and other academic matters consistent with timely graduation. Records each student contact on Advisors Toolkit Notes.Lead and manage responsibilities and programming efforts to align with strategic priorities for the college including student success initiatives and timely graduation initiatives. Represent the college in cross-campus meetings and committees, serving as a liaison for student success programming. Demonstrate expertise in verbal and written communication with students, staff, faculty, and campus partners. Work to achieve Moody Undergraduate Education goals using diplomacy and forward thinking.Design and maintain effective programming for students on or near scholastic probation. Coordinate with other staff and/or faculty to administer the COM 214 Student Success Seminar. Coordinate outreach for students who are trending toward academic difficulty. Oversee advisor relations and ensure adequate outreach and follow-up with probation students.Leads and participates in one or more Moody Academic Communities (MACs) by building community with a small cohort of students, monitoring student mentors, executing weekly lessons, and informing students about campus resources.Full participation in all Moody College of Communication signature events and programs which include but are not limited to: Honors Day, Family Weekend, CommUnity and Gone To Texas, Moody Commencement events, and Freshman/Transfer Orientation.Other related functions as assigned.
