Rush Copley Medical Center Telemetry Tech in Aurora, Illinois
Position Summary: The Telemetry Technician is in a key role to support nursing with patient care by monitoring heart rhythms of adult patients on telemetry throughout the hospital. Patients are monitored in a centralized department. The Telemetry Technician performs a variety of technical tasks under the direction of the Registered Nurse. Communication skills and the ability to handle urgent situations is the key to success.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education:
High school diploma/GED preferred
Associate’s Degree/Clinical Certification preferred or comparable technical experience.
Certifications:
CPR Required
Telemetry Class and Competency in EKG interpretation preferred
Experience:
Central Telemetry experience preferred
EKG technician experience acceptable
