Job Title: Process Engineer
Job Description
As a Process Engineer, you will design and evaluate integrated systems while leading the development and improvement of cabinet line processes. This includes concept proposal, prototyping, manufacturing, quality control, and testing. You will conduct research on new materials and assembly structures to support product development, create and review engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications, and prepare other product and engineering documents. Analyzing and reporting on product manufacturing performance, you will enhance engineering designs by improving tooling, processes, and protocols to achieve high manufacturing efficiency and product quality within cost guidelines. You will actively participate in value analysis and value engineering activities throughout the product chain and provide technical consultations to support and improve quality management based on data-driven decisions.
Responsibilities
Design and evaluate integrated systems for cabinet line processes.
Lead development and improvement of manufacturing processes from concept to testing.
Conduct research on new materials and assembly structures.
Create and review engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications.
Prepare product and engineering documents.
Analyze and report on product manufacturing performance.
Enhance engineering designs to improve tooling, processes, and protocols.
Participate in value analysis and value engineering activities.
Provide technical consultations to support quality management.
Collaborate with warehouse management to understand objectives.
Act as a gatekeeper for all process changes.
Work on production floor to make productivity improvements and job aids.
Support company initiatives across all business channels.
Support the company's vision, goals, and key performance indicators.
Work in functional areas to understand roles and challenges.
Manage multiple projects using formal project planning techniques.
Understand and apply company systems, policies, and procedures.
Analyze information and choose the best solutions to solve problems.
Build trust through strong partnerships and active listening.
Promote teamwork by working safely, effectively, and respectfully with all associates.
Essential Skills
5+ years of proven Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement experience.
Experience in wood manufacturing; cabinet experience is a major plus.
Self-starter with assertive communication skills.
Ability to build culture and work well with others.
Spanish language skills are a plus.
